Core Engineering Curriculum Modules

During the SY 2026–2027 academic term, coursework focuses on core computational foundations that underpin modern high-performance data processing systems:

Second Year Core Module Structure
  • Advanced Data Structures & Algorithms (ADS): Non-linear data structures including AVL trees, Red-Black trees, B-Trees, Graph traversals (Dijkstra, Prim, Kruskal), and asymptotic time complexity evaluation.
  • Database Management Systems (DBMS): Relational algebra, SQL query optimization, normal forms (1NF through 5NF/BCNF), ACID transactions, and concurrency control primitives.
  • Operating System Kernels (OS): Process scheduling, virtual memory management, page replacement algorithms, deadlock detection, and multi-threaded synchronization.
  • Discrete Mathematical Structures (DMS): Set theory, predicate calculus, graph theory, algebraic structures, and recurrence relation solvers.
